Kat Oramas

Kat is the embodiment of what WELmade stands for: discipline, grit, resilience, and purpose. An Army veteran with nearly a decade of service, Kat has built her life around preparation, hard work, and the pursuit of becoming better every day. As a tactical athlete and private security professional, she pushes herself physically and mentally through every challenge she takes on.

But what makes Kat special isn’t just what she can do—it’s who she is. She’s fiercely patriotic, driven, hardworking, and always ready for the next challenge, while still bringing a fun, genuine, and down-to-earth personality everywhere she goes. She doesn’t represent WELmade because she changed to fit our values—she represents WELmade because she already lived them.

My Story

Finding someone to represent WELmade wasn’t about finding the loudest person in the room. It was about finding someone whose character spoke before they ever did. Someone who works hard, cares deeply, embraces challenges, and stays true to who they are. That person is Kat.

"Hi, I'm Kat! Originally from Ohio, I now call Florida home.
I proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer for more than nine years, including a deployment to Saudi Arabia. Like many who choose military service, I wanted to serve my country—but I also knew a traditional 9-to-5 life wasn't for me. My brother served before me, and there was no way I was going to let him have all the adventures and wear the uniform. During my military career, I competed at a high level, representing Fort Gordon for two years in the Army Ten-Miler in Washington, D.C., while participating in numerous physical fitness competitions that challenged both my endurance and resilience. My passion for fitness truly took off after my son, Gunnar, was born in 2013. Watching my body bounce back after pregnancy sparked a curiosity about what the human body is truly capable of. I began weightlifting alongside my competitive running and entered my first bodybuilding competition in 2014, where I earned first place in my division. Since then, I've been drawn in by pushing my physical and mental limits through discipline, consistency, and continuous growth. today, you'll usually find me seeking my next challenge. I compete in events like The Tactical Games, Patriot Games, Farm Games, Apex Athlete competitions, and endurance races. Adventure races and survival events are next on my list because if something sounds mentally and physically demanding, chances are I'm already signing up. Professionally, I serve as an instructor for WRAP, training law enforcement agencies on the use of the company's innovative non-lethal response tool designed to reduce injuries, lower liability, and improve safety during critical incidents. I also instruct at WOFT (Where Our Families Train), where I teach individuals and families situational awareness through immersive, scenario-based training, combatives, blade work and the range. Beyond being an instructor, I work as an Executive Protection Agent, providing security for high-profile clients throughout the United States and internationally. My experience across military service, law enforcement training, and private security inspired me to build Warrior Hub—a platform designed to connect every part of the security industry into one professional network. Warrior Hub is scheduled to launch at the end of 2026, and I'm excited to help bring the industry's professionals, companies, vendors, trainers, and opportunities together in one place. Now for the fun stuff...I'm a huge firearms enthusiast, and I'm definitely a knife person. My current favorite blade from WELmade is the Artisan—but have you seen the Brawler? That thing is an absolute beauty. Each blade is crafted unique, purposeful, beautiful and MADE IN AMERICA! Outside of work, I'm known for my morning ritual of dry scooping pre-workout followed immediately by a Monster Energy drink. It's become a bit of a personality trait. If you really want to become my friend, show up with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a little chocolate snack and a caffeinated drink! When I'm not training, you'll usually find me drinking coffee, collecting plants, hanging out with cats, or finding the next outdoor adventure that sounds just a little bit crazy. My next big goal? Becoming a certified skydiver and falling from high!"

A blade is only as strong as what it’s forged from. The same is true of people. Kat has been forged through service, discipline, adversity, and a commitment to always push forward. She is sharp, resilient, and prepared for whatever comes next. She doesn’t carry the title of warrior because of what she has done—she carries it because of who she is.
